What Is Universal City Like?
Universal City is a family-friendly city in northeast Bexar County, located along I-35 approximately 12 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. Originally developed in the 1960s adjacent to Randolph Air Force Base, the community has a well-established residential feel with a mix of older and newer homes.
The city is known for its excellent Judson ISD schools, including the award-winning Judson High School. The community has numerous parks, sports facilities, and a strong sense of community identity. The area near Randolph AFB gives it a military-friendly atmosphere with many services catering to active-duty and retired service members.
